Text Box: Ask your doctor about the MammoReader
Text Box: Mowery Clinic is proud to offer the innovative MammoReader as an intregral part of its women’s care services. Recently the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave its approval to the MammoReader, an Intelligent Computer-Aided Detection system that searches for all primary signs of breast cancer and can help detect breast cancer earlier.
The MammoReader does not replace the regular screening mammogram or require an additional test. The MammoReader makes a regular screening mammogram more effective, analyzing a patient’s conventional mammogram. After the mammogram is performed, the MammoReader digitizes the films. A computer analyzes the images for abnormalities and highlights areas on a patient’s mammogram that are suspicious for the radiologist to review.
This is a screening procedure that will give patients greater peace of mind. It is similar to having a “second set of eyes” review the mammogram.
The cost of this additional analysis is covered by the majority of insurance plans.
