The Mowery Clinic Laboratory is a well-equipped and staffed facility, designed to provide the physicians with the most precise and up-to-date laboratory data available.  The staff includes three Medical Technologists with BS degrees and ASCP Affiliations and two Medical Technician.  The laboratory has a certification from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and is routinely inspected by the State every two years.  The lab is certified to provide services under the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

There are four drawing stations at Mowery Clinic for patient convenience, with three in the main building and one in Mowery Clinic Santa Fe.  In addition, if needed, the phlebotomist will come to the exam room to draw specimens.  There are three phlebotomists covering at the Main Mowery Clinic from 7:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday, and 7:00am - 12:00pm on Friday.  The hours at the Mowery Clinic Santa Fe location are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday, and 8:30am - 12:00pm Friday.   

The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and is subject to stringent internal and external quality control programs.  The laboratory subscribes to proficiency testing programs.

With over 250,000 tests performed per year, the lab covers the following areas: Chemistry, Thyroid, Hormones, Tumor Markers, Hematology Coagulation, Microbiology, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Serology and Urinalysis.  The majority of the tests are performed on-site and are reported to the physician's office the same day.  The lab is linked with instrumentation and offices via computer and report printers.  Barcodes are used for positive patient identification.  Some esoteric testing is sent out daily at 5 pm and 75% of the reports are received via computer the next day. 

Radiology

The X-ray Department is likewise well-equipped and staffed for producing high-quality radiographic studies.  The Department is located in the main building, central portion, easily accessible from various offices.  

 Radiologists are on-site for much of the day.

Over 4000 diagnostic exams, 1200 ultrasounds, nearly 3000 mammograms, over 600 Hologic Dexa Bone Density exams and 1100 electrocardiograms are performed each year.  The Ultrasound Technologists are RDMS certified.  The Mammography Technologists are certified and ACR and FDA approved.

Cardiology

A comprehensive cardiovascular non-invasive lab is available in the basement of Mowery West.  Testing includes treadmills, stress echoes, routine echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, Doppler arterial studies and pressure measurements of leg and arm arteries.  Utilizing this information, your physician can evaluate the heart, coronary arteries, neck arteries, leg and arm arteries and leg veins for blood clots. In addition, Nuclear Medicine Imaging is available to more accurately evaluate the heart and other organs.
